Written Statement

There is 4 solution to depart pedestrians from cars;
Lifting up the pedestrians; needs long low slope ramp or expensive escalators for ADA compliances, ugly looking in city view.
Dropping down the pedestrians; same slope problem, safety and air problem, dark, ugly for walker, heavy car load on top rises construction budget up. Pedestrians don’t want to use them.
Lifting up the road; needs expensive construction. It blocks the building views at lower floors, in tight streets it kills the market with it’s ugly looking.
Dropping down the road; proposed design used this option. Light load is at existing ground level stays for pedestrians, heavy car, truck load goes to one level below. Green life proposed for pedestrians. No car noise, no exhaust smoke, no traffic light to wait, no car view pollution, free and secure, for pedestrians and bicycles. Cars; short traffic lights, more light at night (wall reflection), much safer driving in rough weathers. Daylight chimneys are green objects covered with polycarbonate domes, air filters located at center. It’s possible to make sun light double with using shiny sun-light chimneys.
Because of competition area car ways designed to go down level with ramps from the beginning of the area roads. But it’s considered to drop all downtown areas roads to down level in reality, in that case ramps can consider as temporary objects. This design completely divides pedestrian, bicycle riders & tram from cars, trucks and motorcycles.
These two groups never intersect but connect to each other in this design. Every corner and bus stops has simple elevator cores. Bus stop signs and information are at the ground floor.
Buildings in the area get their service transportation from ground floor / pedestrian level but just early in the morning end late evening, after business times with a very low speed (5m/h). They use tram way or sidewalk. These ways designed large for firefighter, ambulances too. Service cars, bicycles, trams have to share loop at the intersection.
Building service cars have to get permission from City to get road entry gate key at pedestrian level. Or if their building has 1 or 2 basement floor, garage floor they can provide their connection directly to up too. These walls are large enough to make advertisement for building owners too. Car level sidewalks kept pretty large for car park pockets, bus stops, building garage entries.
If the buildings don’t have basement floors, retaining walls will be covered and paint or pictured like the same street view up above. So building tenants, workers, customers will be able to park exactly where their relating buildings are for exist navigation reason. Traffic rules, lanes, lights will be the same as existing condition but at lower level.
Light ramps may be convertible-hopper to down for cars, automatic work with traffic lights at ground floor. Ramp road is not so heavy can move fast, because it sits on the ground, doesn’t carry the cars when it waits at up leveled. This allows flood protection.
