Different from the traditional thinking of a street which is a surface with activities, the 21st Century Street should be 3 dimensionally considered in order to fully promote positive social and economic interactions. Sports+City is a rethinking of all the surfaces serving the street including rooftops, building skins, street surface, even the spaces behind building skins and below street ground. As a result, Sports+City is a total participation of the community.

Sports+City starts from the love of sports and the concern of a city’s street life. By intervention with “sports”, Sports+City tries to overturn the recognition of typological spaces in our streetscape, hoping to create a new healthy and sustainable layer in the city. In Sport+City, rooftops are no longer concrete covers but a paradise bridging human and nature; streets are no longer borderlines of conquest but reconciliation; subway space is no longer a technical product but an instrument for people to redefine the world.

The Sports+City embodies natural concern, cultural integration, and digital connection in its play of the city, trying to provide better communication, warmer environment, and healthier activities for its citizens; also, a new way of sustaining a street, and a city.
